Canoo release spec sheet on LDVs

Updated: Oct 14, 2023

Canoo recently pushed out a new spec sheet page on their website. It contains nice photos and a well presented plethora of information about the LDV. However, in my experience, Canoo has a habit of making things disappear(coughAirAsiacough) so in the interests of preservation I'm going to sum it all up here anyway. First off, it's got a great slogan: THIS ISN’T JUST A VAN; IT’S A CANOO.

Weight & Capacity

Power & Performance

Agility is not solely in the unique steering design; the LDV has class leading 295 lb.-ft torque and 200 hp standard rear-wheel drive that will take you from 0-60 mph in 5.9 secs (350 hp) or 8 secs (200 hp)*, assuring arrival at your next stop long before the competition. And if you need more power in the driver’s seat, we also offer an optional 350 hp version. *CANOO ESTIMATE BASED ON EPA STANDARDS.

Safety

The LDV is a rolling hi-vis vest with a long punch list of passive and active safety features for the protection of the driver and your business. Drivers will feel a greater sense of security with our host of safety features.

ADAS & ECOSYSTEM

A suite of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) strive to keep your team safe, while our Canoo Fleet Ecosystem has the safeguards to keep the investment in your business safe.

LDV Features

Steering

Steer-by-wire improves efficiency by reducing moving parts and enlarging interior leg space for high frequency ingress and egress, and better visibility.

The variable steering ratio offers greater control and maneuverability, with less arm movement when executing full lock maneuvers, such as 3-point turns. In a Canoo, you never have to let go of the steering wheel, while competitors require up to two times more turns from lock to lock.

Charging & Range

Power matches technology to deliver results. With an 80 kW battery and a range of 200 miles*, we can build customized charging solutions that don’t impact your daily business activities. That said, the LDV has a standard 7.2 kWh Level 2 onboard charger, and a DC Fast charging port that can go from 20% to 80% charge in under 30 minutes.

The chargers are paired with phone integrated charge management and our fleet management suite via the Ecosystem. We have simplified EV charging and can design a complete solution based around your needs.

Warranty

We offer a comprehensive program that provides bumper-to-bumper warranties, while providing additional long-term coverage for many key systems.

Service

One of the core goals of our design is comprehensive simplicity. Since our electric vehicle fleet uses fewer moving parts than an ICE alternative, the service and maintenance is easier, less frequent, and cost effective. Service for your Canoo fleet will be as easy and convenient as the electric vehicle itself.

With several service solutions designed to fit your fleet needs, whether you have one vehicle or 50, we have you covered.

Due to our advanced computer architecture, in most cases we can remotely diagnose and repair your EV via over-the-air (OTA) software. For inspections and basic maintenance, we come to you with our mobile service. If you have a big fleet and your own maintenance garage, we can provide hands-on training to your technicians. And if your preference is to pay us a visit, we have centralized and convenient Canoo Service Centers available.

Cost

While the initial cost of fleet is important, the lifetime cost of maintenance and fuel for typical fleet vehicles alone proves that electric vehicles (vs gas or diesel) are far superior.

Additionally, when you consider the Canoo LDV uses 1/3 of the parts of a traditional ICE vehicle, the maintenance schedule is incredibly simplistic, as oil changes, new exhaust systems, coolant flushes, and transmission services (to name a few) become a thing of the past.

This forward-thinking approach is anchored by our innovative skateboard design that ensures that your total cost of ownership (TCO) is lower than its seemingly "less expensive" ICE competitors.

Maintenance

To keep your fleet at its best, we require that you service your vehicles annually or every 12,000 miles for the Front HVAC filter. Maintenance is minimal and quite simplistic, as shown below.

REQUIRED:

Front HVAC Filter Annually (every 12k miles)

RECOMMENDED:

Brakes / Tires / Wipers Annually (every 12k miles)
