On Tuesday, March 28th, President Biden traveled to Durham, North Carolina to kick off his Administration’s "Investing in America" tour. The tour consists of members of his administration highlighting investments from the Inflation Reduction Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the American Rescue Plan which focus on unleashing a manufacturing boom.
As part of this tour, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm will travel to Oklahoma this coming week. According to a Whitehouse press release, she will "highlight investments that are building a clean energy economy and bringing energy supply chains back to the United States."
The Whitehouse also released what they are calling "fact sheets", giving prominence to major investments that are associated with the passing of the above mentioned legislation. For Oklahoma's fact sheet, it puts the spotlight on Canoo for the very topic that Sec of Energy Granholm is headed to Oklahoma to tout.
Canoo also appears in the Arkansas fact sheet, although it shows up as "other" and doesn't have any investment dollars associated with it while the Oklahoma sheet labels their proposed investments for EVs/Batteries and notes it being worth $560M.
